Cakery

Peach + White Stripes

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm on a current hiatus from the blog as I focus on my transition from Ms. to Mrs. I thought I would sneak back for a bit, though, to give you a quick update about what's been happening. Thankfully, I feel that within the past month we've made quite a bit of headway with the wedding planning. My nerves from the self-imposed wedding projects I've ambitiously adopted are finally beginning to subside, replaced with feelings of excitement and anticipation as the big day gets closer and closer. With the help of my family and friends, our favors, decor, and the overall design is mostly complete with only a few things left to finish in the remaining few weeks.

I've saved one of the tastiest tasks for last.  Tomorrow we will set out to one of my favorite bakeries in Los Angeles, Portos, to sample and explore the world of wedding cakes!  I know what you're thinking--This late in the game and you haven't chosen a wedding cake?!   I know, I know, shame on me, but nonetheless, I'm so excited and in preparation for tomorrow, I've collected tons of cake inspiration on my Pinterest board and wanted to share some of my favorites with you!

Metallic Gold

Milk Glass

Sweet Chevrons
Ruffles upon ruffles upon ruffles
Pearls and Petals
So what are your thoughts?  Which cake...takes the cake?

  2. The first cake is via the Wedding Chicks and the photographer is Lane Dittoe in case you want to give proper credit because Pinterest isn't.

    1. Hi Anonymous,

I always try to give proper credit...the captions below each picture are actually links to the proper sources. The first one in particular is linking to a Wedding Chicks feature. If I still have it wrong, let me know. Thanks! :)
